Cocky. Brash. Arrogant. All those words can describe me in the eyes of everyone here, but through all those 'negatives', there's one word that goes along with those; successfull. Though it was my goal from the start, I never really thought I'd go from "SSFutureTrunks", to the most celebrated/decorated roleplayer in the history of this game. I had one simple approach to it from the start, and that was to bring something new to the table each and every time I got online. If we were on here to be exactly like we are in real life all the time, I don't think a lot of us would be here, period. I look at some of the things said about me, and one of the most common things I see is "Oh, well he's different one on one, like on AIM." If we're just talking about random things, then yeah, I'm just going to be regular old Eric. If we start talking about this game, this business, then the volume gets cranked up, and another side of my personality comes out. When you can post once on a forum and draw the entire crowd to one place, you're making an impact. This is the entertainment business. Roleplay is entertainment, and that's exactly what everything I write down is. There's the dull, boring side of roleplaying, and then there's someone who broke the mold, and changed this game forever.
My best example is CoD, because that opening feud with Alexandra really brought me to a whole new level. The stage was set way before I even got there; Alexandra, who played Thalia Nyghtfallen, the Lady of the Castle, was basically a selfish dictator. Now don't get me wrong here. I respect Alexandra for what she did, because she took her personality and didn't shy away from what she wanted, even when I got involved. A lot of the patrons there wanted to rebel against her, but never really got into it due to the fear of being outcasted. When I came in, I already had a huge push from beating their two top guys, Keiyin and Aeon. Josh/Aeon was a good guy, and we got along even after the fight, but Keiyin was always resentful of what I did. I stole his thunder, and that got under his skin. I started to shy away from Shin Gouki Z, wanting to use something a bit more my style. Comic City had taught me the ki energy side of fighting, as well as the hand to hand aspects, but magic and sword fighting was something I rarely used. Once I got a bit more proficient with that, the sky was the limit for me fighting-wise. The King of Fighters tournament was held not too long after I first got to CoD, and I knew that was my chance to make it big. It wasn't just some small tournament; it was a world tournament, designed to attract every fighter it could from all reaches of the net. They had you sign up using a registration form on these forums they had going. 200+ registered people, and they had already gotten bigger than anything the net had seen. The styles were mixed; some fights were speed/freestyle, and some were turnbased. My final fight was speed, when I faced off against Blood Pain, the only other World Champion besides myself. Apparently this KoF was held the year prior, and he was the defending champion. Using a character named Seiryou Shinjou, I toppled Blood Pain and became the youngest World Champion in history. Blood Pain was 19 when he won it, and I was 16, so not that age matters, but it's a record nonetheless. Now a lot of people will say, and I agree with them, that one tournament doesn't make you the best in the world. It doesn't, but my undefeated streak throughout my entire career, and my record against the 'legends' proves that the title over my shoulder is legit.
After becoming the World Heavyweight Champion for the first time, my run in CoD started getting bigger. I had run through everyone in that place by that point, beating all the fighters that made that place great. It was at that point that I noticed Alexandra and her dictator ways, and the biggest feud most of these people have ever seen started as a result of that. I was blatantly defiant to everything she wanted, flipping her off, killing all her characters, breaking up her friendships. She soon realized who was really running the show, and what was funny was the reaction I got for it. While some of the people still remained loyal to their 'Lady', most of the people got behind me, loving the way I handled every situation. Eventually, my interest got into the roleplaying side of this business, not just the fighting, and everything changed after that.
